In short

MCP Regime Ribbon is now live for PRO Paradisers. It is a TradingView indicator that names the market regime on your chart before you choose a tactic. It reads whether your chart is in a trend the higher timeframes back. It grades how firm that trend is, says when it is fading, and reads the tape separately: calm, normal or uncertain.

What is new?

A new indicator joins AI Indicators by MCP. Where MCP RSI Intelligence reads momentum and MCP Positioning Intelligence reads the crowd, MCP Regime Ribbon reads the environment they both work in. It is the first layer under every other tool, because it says which playbook fits before you look for a setup.

  • The regime in a word: Strong uptrend, Uptrend, Uptrend fading, the downtrend mirror, or Mixed.
  • The ribbon: a soft band between the two averages, only where the read carries points.
  • Probability points: how firmly a read like the one on screen has persisted, never price.
  • Reversal risk in words: from “Reversal unlikely soon” to “Reversal risk rising”.
  • The tape: calm, normal or uncertain, in the panel and its hover.

What is different here

The trend and the tape are two reads, because they answer two questions. One says which playbook fits. The other says how hard to press.

A past example, Solana daily, autumn 2024: the ribbon between the two averages, the dot where the regime earned its points, and the panel.

Why is a moving average crossover not enough?

A moving-average cross tells you one thing: which side of the slow average the fast one sits on, on this chart alone. It flips on every wiggle and it has no idea what the bigger picture is doing. Every cross also looks the same, whether the move behind it is firm or tired.

That is the whole of the textbook moving average crossover: a statement about where two lines sit. The Regime Ribbon answers a different question: is this a trend worth leaning on? A short-term up-move inside a bigger downtrend reads Mixed, where a cross would shout up and hand you the counter-trend trap.

What does the Regime Ribbon add?

  • A backed trend: it checks the bigger picture before it calls a trend.
  • A grade: probability points from measured history, never guessed. A cross has no grade.
  • A warning: it tells you when the trend is fading before the trend ends (“Reversal risk rising”), so you stop adding to it.
  • A risk posture: the tape says whether aggression is allowed right now.

In one line: a cross only tells you that two lines crossed. The Regime Ribbon tells you whether this is a trend worth leaning on, how firm it is, and when it is fading. That is the question to answer before any trend tactic.

Why did we build a regime indicator?

Because good tactics mostly fail in the wrong conditions. A range tactic loses in a trend, and a trend tactic loses in a range. Traders then blame the tactic, switch strategies, and carry the same mistake into the next one. The fix is to name the regime first, on every chart, before the setup.

The second half is risk. The ParadiseTeam’s doctrine is plain: during times of uncertainty, be defensive, and when uncertainty falls back to lower levels, play aggressive again. The tape puts that doctrine on every chart, separate from the trend, so the trend never decides your size on its own.

What do the probability points grade?

Probability points describe how firmly a regime read like the one on screen has persisted in the past, never where price goes. The meter lights when a read is clearly firm, more points mean a firmer read, and an unlit meter means no edge. Reversal means this backed trend ending, never a price call.

MCP Regime Ribbon grades each regime read with a machine-learning model inside, on the charts where the research confirmed it. There are no points while Mixed, because there is no backed trend to grade. On a backed trend, an unlit meter is still an answer: line two says whether the trend is holding or fading.

Is a regime read a trade signal?

No. A Strong uptrend is not a buy signal, and a Strong downtrend is not a sell signal. The read describes the environment: which tactics fit, and how hard to press. The setup, the level, the stop and the size still come from your own plan.

Where it earns its place is in the trades you skip. A breakout bought inside a Mixed read, or a short against a Strong uptrend, is the classic mistake. So is leaning in on an uncertain tape. The panel makes each of them visible before the order goes in.

How do you get MCP Regime Ribbon?

It is included with PRO Paradiser, as an invite-only script on TradingView. A free TradingView account is enough. Two pieces help you start. Our walkthrough of every part of the Regime Ribbon covers the ribbon, the dot, the panel, the tape and the alerts. The free class on trending and ranging market regimes explains the ideas without any tool.

MCP Regime Ribbon is part of AI Indicators by MCP. It pairs naturally with MCP RSI Intelligence: the regime picks the playbook, and the momentum read helps you time it.

Frequently asked questions

What is MCP Regime Ribbon?

It is a TradingView indicator in AI Indicators by MCP that reads the market regime. It says whether this chart is in a trend the bigger picture backs, or Mixed, and how unusually much the market is moving. The ribbon, a small dot and a two-line panel show it on the chart.

Does MCP Regime Ribbon use machine learning?

Yes. MCP Regime Ribbon grades each regime read with a machine-learning model inside, on the charts where the research confirmed it. The probability points describe how firmly a read like the one on screen has persisted in the past, never where price goes. Mixed carries no points.

Is a Strong uptrend a reason to buy?

Not on its own. A Strong uptrend is a backed trend at its firmest: a read like it has persisted firmly in the past. Trend tactics fit it best, and a trade against it needs a very good reason. Your entry, stop and size still come from your own plan.

Who can use MCP Regime Ribbon?

PRO Paradisers. It is included with the membership as an invite-only TradingView script, and a free TradingView account is enough. Leave your TradingView username on your members’ page, and the ParadiseTeam adds the script, usually within a day. It then appears under Invite-only scripts in the Indicators menu.

Why does the tape not change the colour of the chart?

Because the tape is a separate read with a separate job. It says how big the moves are, not whether the regime will last, so it lives in the panel and its hover. Keeping it off the chart keeps price, levels and your other tools easy to read.
