While DOGE holders are waiting for Elon Musk to adopt DOGE as Twitter payment as earlier suggested by the mogul, Elon Musk announced plans to step down as the CEO of Twitter, leaving a mark of big blow on the face of DOGE holders.

“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!” Musk told his 139 million followers, adding that his role will change to being the “exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”

After several back and forths, Elon Musk finally acquired Twitter in October last year in a deal worth $44 billion, since he’s taken over the social media platform, users have witnessed notable changes on the app, and accounts of the likes of Donald Trump were restored.

Elon Musk has rolled out some crypto-related features since his Twitter takeover in 2022, some of the features include the ability of Twitter users to buy and sell NFTs through tweets, also, Twitter Coin is now available to a handful of users.

Twitter is going to take a new dimension through the new CEO, we will see whether or not there is potential for full crypto integration on the social media platform under the new leadership.
