There have been serious concerns in the crypto community regarding a recent movement of Bitcoin in a wallet connected to US government law enforcement.
According to a blockchain analytics provider Glassnode, the US law enforcement wallet is connected to the seized crypto including that of Silk Road seizures and contains over 144,000 BTC.
The wallet balance dropped to 125,600 BTC after 18,860 BTC was moved, and as per mempool tracker, about 40,000 Bitcoins were moved of recent with a significant quantity moved to Armstrong’s Coinbase, leading to concerns in the crypto space on whether or not the US government is looking to sell the crypto.
According to Glassnode, around 9,861 BTC was sent to Coinbase exchange, adding that the BTC was the crypto seized from the Silk Road hacker.
