A dating app in India, Mingout, has made its first official attempt ever at metaverse dating. The dating platform organized a date for two users in a moon-based setting.

Regarding the matter, Co-Founder and Chief Wingperson at Mingout, Navdeep Kamboj, expressed satisfaction with the endeavor. He and his team looked for the most romantic date possible and settled for the moon setup.

“The moon represents the two tenets of Mingout – romance and revolution,” he says. In his opinion, what could be more romantic than moonlight or get as revolutionary as a man’s first attempt to walk on the moon?

Mingout is running the race of bringing the date back to dating. Unlike popular dating apps like Tinder, they enable you a platform to date-not just match. The Indian dating app gained more traction in the markets when physical meet-ups were severely frowned upon during the pandemic. Mingout was one of the platforms that sustained our human need for interaction amidst the restrictions.

Over the past year, the dating platform held over a thousand successful virtual dates. The services, however, can be taken a notch higher to create a more interactive and immersive experience with the metaverse integration. The metaverse adds modern technologies such as (augmented reality, machine learning, blockchain, AI) to the platform.

Tinder VS Mingout

Tinder is in the process itself of undergoing revamps to remain relevant to the evolving needs. They have recently launched the ‘explore’ section inside the app for better interactive options. The new upgrades will expand a virtual-based economy to be supported by Tinder’s new currency-Tinder Coins.
