In a recent tweet by legendary Tesla CEO Elon Musk, he shared a vision they could soon start accepting Dogecoin at the Tesla charging stations.
This piece of information came timely as after a tweet from Ryan Zohoury informed Elon of the packed state at the new Santa Monica superchargers.
‘And futuristic diner/ drive-in theatre planned for Hollywood area, And ofcos you can pay in Doge, ’ Elon tweeted.
Following this news break, the price of Dogecoin went up by 3.22%.
Very recently, Elon Musk informed that merchandise from Tesla Inc, such as Cyberwhistle and Cyberquad for Kids, could also be bought with Doge.
Tesla accepts DOGE, SpaceX is still testing Dogecoin payments
In December 2021, Must tweeted and informed that Tesla could start accepting Doge for car payments for the first time.
Later that year, Doge trials started by selling some merchandise for the original meme cryptocurrency.
In hindsight, this became a successful venture and, thus, the several upcoming prospects within the company.
It appears that SpaceX is now also testing Doge as a payment option. This week, the meme cryprocurrency’s source code has been spotted in the company’s source code. Musk himself had also previously hinted that Spacex and Starlink could begin accepting Doge.
Campaign for Doge Tipping for Twitter
Last week, Doge co-founder Billy Markus shared an idea to introduce the #DogeTwitterTipJar hashtag. This movement aims to get Twiter to introduce a tipping jar for Dogecoin as it did earlier for Ethereum.
Bitcoin’s tipping feature was already rolled out in September 2021. If Bitcoin and Ethereum users get to tip their favorite content makers using their primary coins, Doge users deserve it too.
Musl has also recently endorsed the coin, saying it is better suited for transactional currencies than Bitcoin.
