El Salvador President Nayib Bukele has tweeted a picture of himself photoshopped wearing a McDonald’s uniform. The co-founder of meme coin Dogecoin Billy Markus subsequently replied to the tweet, welcoming President Bukele to the McDonald’s family.

President Bukele’s tweet has garnered much attention, collecting over 19,000 retweets and 100,000 likes. The tweet seems to have caught Dogecoin co-founder’s who responded with the comment, “Welcome to the McDonald’s family, sir.”
Markus has had interactions on Twitter with McDonald’s before. The encounter prompted Dogecoin fans to ask that the fast-food behemoth accept DOGE payments.
Another prominent figure reached by the tweed is Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson. Hoskinson stated that President Bukele, who has proclaimed himself the CEO of El Salvador, might be the chosen one because of the strength of his meme game.
President Bukele’s tweet is alluding to the recent comments in the crypto industry. Commentators have been saying that the bearish trend in the market may phone crypto investors to take jobs at McDonald’s and work up to 40 hours a week at minimum wage.
