To launch NFT collections ahead of FIFA 2022 world cup, the global payment giant Visa has announced a partnership with Crypto.com, a Singapore-based crypto firm.
The NFT will include iconic goals by legendary soccer stars Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen, and Maxi Rodriguez.
In addition to the above, fans who attend the tournament will be allowed to create their own digital art.
“As FIFA World Cup 2022™ approaches, we want to celebrate football, art, and technology through the lens of what makes the FIFA World Cup™ so special – wildly impassioned fans, legendary athletes, and, for a few short weeks, the ability to bring the world together in a uniquely connected way,” Andrea Fairchild, senior vice president at Visa, said in a press release.
This partnership comes months after the crypto firm Crypto.com became the official sponsor of the upcoming FIFA world cup.
