The San Francisco-based microblogging platform Twitter has announced partnerships with four marketplaces to allow users to buy and sell NFTs through Tweets.
The integration, named NFT Tweet Tiles, places digital collectibles in a separate panel within a tweet with a button that will direct people to a list of NFTs on marketplaces used by Twitter.
This innovation is still in the testing stage and for now, the integration is functioning with four different partners, namely Magic Eden, a platform-agnostic NFT marketplace protocol, Rarible, Dapper Labs, developer of the Flow blockchain, and Jump.trade, a sports-focused marketplace.
Collectively, those marketplaces span several blockchain networks, including Flow, Ethereum, Solana, Tezos, Immutable X, and Polygon.
Although Twitter had supported NFTs as verified profile pictures using Twitter blue service earlier this year, Currently, it only accepts NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.
