The global payment giant, PayPal, is looking to embrace all crypto and blockchain services to improve transactions within its system and expand its client base.
According to the firm’s Vice President, Richard Nash, Paypal is working very hard to integrate all possible digital services into its system; this includes digital currencies and central bank digital currencies (CBDC).

After introducing its hold, buy, and sell for Bitcoin across the US in 2020, PayPal has continued to offer more digital currency-related services. Nash noted:
“Just walking slowly in the crypto shield with buys or holds in certain jurisdictions. […] Looking to work with others to embrace everything we can, whether it’d be the coins that we have today in PayPal digital wallets, private digital currencies or CBDCs in the future.”
Nash also posited that he is a cryptocurrency owner, which perfectly aligns with his position at Paypal; when asked by the media whether he owns any crypto himself, Nash replied saying “I have a lot of things I’m working on at PayPal and I like to experience services myself so that’s natural.”
Meanwhile, the CEO of the firm Dan Schulman disclosed many months ago that he owns Bitcoin.
PayPal which is reportedly set to roll out its stablecoin named PayPal coin is one of the world’s largest payment companies to have evolved by moving into crypto and blockchain in recent years.
The firm has also introduced BTC buy and sell options in some countries; in March last year, the firm announced its own crypto check-out service to allow crypto payments for merchants.
