Just In: Twitter to Roll out Crypto and Stock Trading Feature

eToro Partnership marks the first Twitter major partnership since Elon Musk acquired Twitter

According to latest reports, the wait for Elon Musk’s integration of crypto into Twitter appears to be over as Twitter is reportedly close to launching a crypto and stock trading feature on its platform.

To ensure the possibility of the new innovation, Twitter has partnered with eToro, an online brokerage that allows the buying and selling of crypto, stocks, and index funds, and starting from Thursday, the new feature will be available to users on Twitter, according to a CBNC report.

Twitter’s partnership with eToro marks the first major Twitter partnership since Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.

Prior to now, real-time trading data from TradingView on index funds like the S&P 500 as well as shares of companies across the globe can be viewed on Twitter which is possible through the use of Twitter “cashtags” feature, users will search for a ticker symbol, insert a dollar sign from it, the app will then display price information from TradingView using an application programming interface (API).

“As we’ve grown over the past three years immensely, we’ve seen more and more of our users interact on Twitter [and] educate themselves about the markets,” Yoni Assia, eToro’s CEO said in an interview with the CBNC, adding that:

“There is very high-quality content, real-time content on financial analysis of companies and what’s happening around the world. We believe this partnership will enable us to reach those new audiences [and] connect better the brands of Twitter and eToro.”
