Samsung Electronics America has made a debut in the metaverse world. With a new partnership with blockchain-powered metaverse Decentraland, Samsung launched the Samsung 837X, which opened doors for users to explore an immersive world virtually.
According to Samsung, the immersive world is a virtual version of its New York flagship physical store. The Washington Street store will now be available in Decentraland with this partnership.
Some of the Promises of Samsung’s Virtual World
The electronics company stated that the metaverse experience would introduce its customers to discover unique possibilities when technology meets culture. Some of the experiences promised include journeys where technology meets art, fashion, music, and sustainability.
The Samsung 837X experience starts by entering into Decentraland through a browser. After entering, the user’s avatar will be placed outside Samsung’s metaverse building. There will be a virtual guide to direct the avatar to choose between the sustainability, customization, and connectivity interior spaces at the lobby.
Some of the experiences promised include journeys where technology meets art, fashion, music, and sustainability. The “Customization Stage” will undertake users through a celebration of music, while the “Connectivity Theatre” will broadcast Samsung’s news from the Consumer Electronics Show.
The “Sustainability Forest” focuses on sustainability, particularly Samsung’s celebration of reforestation. Samsung recently entered a deal with climate solutions platform Veritree to plant two million trees in the first quarter of 2022. Users will experience the magical feeling of being around millions of digital trees through the “Sustainability Forest.”
Samsung Electronics America is presenting the first-ever metaverse-mixed-reality dance party hosted by DJ Gamma Vibes for its launch. The event will be live at Samsung’s physical location in New York but accessible virtually via the Samsung 837X.
Samsung 837X Experience to Expand to More Users
The Samsung virtual world will be open in Decentraland for a limited period. Nonetheless, the electronic company promises to expand the Samsung 837X experience to more users.
Samsung plans to do this by launching the virtual world to more platforms. Additionally, Samsung promises that each Samsung 837X will bring different experiences, amplifying the magic of virtual reality even more.
