A fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett on February 14 while everyone was busy with Valentine, left her lover(s) and ran to Twitter with the speed of light to tell everyone that, hey! Circle is the next, this was taken up by the Twitter town criers which eventually led to another FUD.
Although the reporter has deleted the tweet, his tweet sparked tension within the community on Tuesday, according to him, Circle has received a Wells notice from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, meaning that SEC has ordered Circle to stop the sale of its stablecoin USDC, Dante Disparte, chief strategy officer and head of global policy at Circle Pay however replied to the tweet shortly after Terrett shared the tweet, claiming that Circle has not received any Wells notice from the US regulators.
Terret later apologized for the tweet, citing a response from Circle as a trusted source by quoting a tweet by Dante Disparte.
