Polygon and Mercedes Launch Acentrik
Polygon and Mercedes-Benz have unveiled Acentrik, a blockchain-based data-sharing platform that will let businesses buy and sell data on a decentralized protocol without the interference of any intermediaries.
Also, Mercedes-affiliated businesses will utilize this blockchain-based network to exchange data among firms.
The blockchain-based data is specifically made for large-scale use and includes a Know-Your-Business (KYB) and other features restricted to corporate use only.
On Acentrik, data is not stored on the protocol. Instead, NFTs are used to represent the dataset on which a metadata hash is stored on.
Acentrik is a decentralized market data hub made by Mercedes-Benz to assist with the storage of data as well as transfer. It utilizes the OceanONDA V4 smart contract protocol to run several data libraries.
