To make crypto spending easy like conventional fiat currency, Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX has partnered with one of the world’s leading payment giants, Visa to launch debit cards in 40 countries across the globe.
The card which boasts “zero fees” will let FTX users shop where and when needed, the company’s website also adds that the card ownership is free.
The CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried has been longing to unveil crypto debit cards for a while, FTX’s new partnership with Visa aligns with Bankman-Fried view to see crypto as a viable payment means.
Visa’s venturing into crypto is to meet people’s demand and also to keep the rivalry with its competitors like Mastercard who has entered into several partnerships with crypto firms like Coinbase to offer crypto-related services, also, American Express revealed that it is exploring the use of its debit cards with stablecoins which are tied to the price of a dollar.
FTX exchange native token soars by 7% as a response to the news, reaching highs of $25.62.
