Renowned movie theatre chain AMC announced that the buyers of Spider-Man movie advance tickets will receive 86,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Additionally, the viable buyers will be members of AMC Stubs Premiere & A-List and AMC Investor Connect.
Movie chain AMC Entertainment has teamed up with Sony Pictures to run this offer in anticipation of the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. The advance tickets are on sale on November 29, and the movie is set to premiere exclusively in cinemas on December 16.
Only AMC Stubs Premiere Members are Viable for the Giveaway
The Spider-Man NFT artwork is designed by BAFTA and Lovie award-winning studio Cub Studios. There will be 100 different NFT designs for this promotion. Although only 86,000 NFTs will be issued, there is expected to be a total of 90,000 NFTs produced. Movie chain AMC Entertainment plans to release the NFTs via the WAX blockchain.
The movie theatre and Sony Pictures are the first ever to hold such kind of promotion. Winners of AMC’s giveaway NFTs will receive instructions on how to redeem them via email on December 22. The winners will have up to March 1, 2022, to redeem the AMC giveaway NFTs.
As anticipated, there is a very huge demand for the Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets. It is for this reason that AMC has limited the viable winners to only members of AMC Stubs Premiere. During the purchase of the tickets, members must link their AMC Stubs account number associated with the transactions.
Those who purchase will have their tickets scanned at the theatre on the premier day. AMC’s giveaway NFTs will be earned only on tickets used on December 16. Any refunds and unused tickets will not be viable for the giveaway.
